Privacy Policy
This site is a personal portfolio. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising, and has no forms: nothing is stored on your device and you are not tracked. Because of that, no cookie-consent banner is needed.
What is processed
- Technical server logs. Like any website, the host records technical data automatically — including your IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to keep the service secure and running. These logs are held by the host for a limited period.
- Fonts and media. Fonts are served from this site itself and videos from this site's own domain, so no third party receives your data simply because a page loads.
- Contact you start. If you email, call or message me, or download the resume, you share your details directly with me or the service you use (email provider, WhatsApp, Google Drive) at your own initiative.
Purpose and legal basis
Technical logs are processed under the legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Any exchange you begin is processed to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Hosting and transfers
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. in the United States. Delivering it may involve transferring technical data outside the European Union, framed by the safeguards Netlify provides (EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses).
Retention
Technical logs are kept only for the short period the host needs for security and operation. Emails you send are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to j.vanhoeke@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, cnil.fr.
